A Few Things I Haven’t Told You

I am a quiet heart with layers of worlds hidden within.

I tiptoe on the edges of communities seeking the place where I belong.

My timid spirit carries the yearning of the universe inside of me –

To find connection, depth, and truth.

I’ve spent many nights whispering to the moon my heartfelt secrets and hopes.

Watching as pieces of me dance with the stars. 

There they linger, these pieces of me, an infinity of twinkling flickers of hope to guide me on my way. 

To keep the dream alive, that someday I will find the true home for my heart, the place where I’ll finally belong.
